Chaplain Randy

ChaplainRandyChaplain Randy VanDeLoo grew up in the village of Cleveland, Wisconsin in Manitowoc County. He has seven siblings. He graduated from Sheboygan North High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he majored in Health Education and achieved his Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association. After graduating college he married the love of his life Beverly who graduated from Holy Family School of Nursing in Manitowoc achieving her RN license. They have been married for 36 years and have 6 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Bev is an OB nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

Chaplain Randy was the Health Education Coordinator and Teacher for the Wisconsin Rapids School District for 5 years and then became the principal and teacher at Rapids Christian School where he ministered until 1987. Rapids Christian School was a ministry of the Evangelical Free Church of Wisconsin Rapids. When RCS closed Chaplain Randy became the principal and teacher at Faith Christian Academy at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Stanley, WI. He ministered there for 19 years until he resigned his ministry.

In 2008, Randy pursued a Clinical Pastoral Education residency at Luther Hospital in EauClaire, WI. Upon completion of his year residency he accepted the call to minister at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI succeeding Pastor Paul Nelson, founder and first chaplain for the Evangelical Hospital Chaplain Inc. ministry.

Chaplain Randy received his certificate of Christian Ministry (ordination) in 2005 from the Evangelical Free Church of America. Chaplain Randy has done regular pulpit supply for area churches, conducts weddings, funerals, chapel services, and council time for Awana ministry.
