Fall Newsletter 2012

Greetings from the Desk of the Chaplain:

Enclosed with this writing is the Flyer and tickets announcing the Ministry Appreciation Banquet on Saturday, October 20th, 2012. We are hoping that all our supporters and their Pastors will come out to give the Lord praise for the great things He has done through this unique ministry of helps and encouragement to those in crisis at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital. If planning to attend the banquet and to give an accurate count to our caterer please fill out the back of your ticket and mail in the enclosed self-addressed stamped envelope provided for your convenience by October 11th. If you need additional advance tickets please give me a call, ask via US mail, or drop an e-mail to me requesting additional tickets prior to October 11th. This is vitally important to ensure an accurate count of banquet attendees for the caterer.

We are grateful for the many churches and individuals who support this ministry with prayer and financial assistance. Without your help and the grace and mercy of our Savior this ministry would cease to exist. Recently, I had a dear 76 year old Lutheran man who was seriously injured from a traumatic fall. After he briefly shared about his accident the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask him, “Had you died in the accident are you sure you would have gone to Heaven?” With tears in his eyes he said, “No, I’m not sure that I would have made it.” Presenting the Gospel of Christ and the promises of the Word of God produced many more tears for this dear gentleman who remembered much of the Scripture but who had no assurance of salvation in Christ. I shared 1 John 5:13 that says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” What a privilege and responsibility to present the good news of Christ and His finished work at Calvary as our only hope of eternal life. John 14:6 Do you believe and trust Christ for your personal salvation? The devil and the world would have us believe that there are many paths to Heaven. Don’t be fooled by false teaching. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

As your ambassador to the hurt, dying, sick and their families it is my privilege to present the gospel message and bring words of encouragement from the Scriptures as your missionary at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital and the surrounding area. Thank you again for your prayers and financial support.

Remember, if you are a patient or have a loved one at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield please feel free to call or e-mail me that you’re a patient. On admission you can also request that Chaplain VanDeLoo see you and an electronic referral will be made contacting me of your admission. Please fill out the enclosed tickets if you’re coming to the banquet and return them to me in the enclosed envelope or RSVP by sending the tickets without your personal information with your return address on the envelope. We are looking forward to seeing you all at the ministry appreciation banquet.

In HIS Service,

Pastor Randy & Bev VanDeLoo
